Oranges and tangerines

The blood running in Sicilians’ veins is of Phoenician, Greek, Arab, Norman, Spanish, French and Italian origin. The richness of this historic heritage is reflected in the image of the local cities and fascinating culture. Although Sicilians feel different from the rest of the Italians, we can quote after Goethe that: “To have seen Italy without having seen Sicily is to not have seen Italy at all, for Sicily is the clue to everything”. If you image Italy as a country full of sun, juicy citrus fruits, smiling and talkative people who live in no hurry, cities with many centuries’ tradition, beaches with turquoise sea, the best way to avoid a disappointment is to go to Sicily. It is there where the red oranges ripen, dishes are served with pistachio and almonds, waiters smile even when they think that nobody is looking at them and the cities and local landscapes have been used as scenery for many movies like “The Adventure”, “The God Father”, “Cinema Paradiso”, “Malena” and others.

We encourage you to visit Taormina, Etna, Syracuse, Noto, Ragusa, Palermo, Agrigento, and the neighbouring islands. We highly recommend you to have a rest on the exceptionally beautiful surrounding islands and savour the Sicilian cuisine.
